The "spider" style chinchorro is a masterpiece of Wayuu craftsmanship, created by a small group of skilled women who have preserved this ancestral knowledge. Its unique design, known for its intricate weaving, takes its name from Waleker, the legendary spider in Wayuu mythology. The "spider" style design, inspired by Waleker, the mythical spider from Wayuu folklore, symbolizes the deep connection between the community, their traditions, and nature. Wayuu weaving is more than craftsmanship—it is an expression of their worldview and cultural heritage.
